One of the other interns in the office showed me this Tumblr that I initially thought was pretty absurd. I thought that it was just a blog where one person just posted a bunch of different colors– pointless, right? However, to my surprise, that’s not what it is at all. Pretty Colors allows visitors to submit colors of their choice via color palette. While the purpose of the site is to submit and scroll through the colors, there is a more fascinating feature– the archive page. Due to the layout of Tumblr blog archives, you can see an endless log of colors since the beginning of Pretty Colors. A personal favorite is to look through and see if there are any trends (like the second row of all pastels in the photo above). For those of you who are unfamiliar with the site, whenever you’ve got a minute to yourself, I encourage you to contribute to the greatness of Pretty Colors; the site that proves that there is no such thing as an ugly color.
